Just ranking QBs though, I would put Ryan ahead of Eli, sure

But Eli does have a knack for coming through in the clutch. Ryan with that debacle against San Fran a few years ago in the NFC championship and now this, he's going to get a choker rep.

It's not exactly fair that QBs get those labels when it's such a team sport, but it is what it is

I don't care about ranking in terms of Eli anymore. He's on the back 9 of his career. He's going to finish in the Top 6 in completions, TDs and yards at the very least. Throw in 2 rings and the only QB who seems to have the Patriots number think says a lot.

Years ago I made the Romo/Ryan comparison. Great numbers and little post season success. Now that Ryan has a SB appearance, but everyone is going to remember him taking that sack pushing him out of field goal range. Ryan will get the choker reputation that he's avoided because he plays in Atlanta.

i dont blame ryan on this except that falcons last posession and getting sacked and out of fg range. The defense deteriorated as the game progressed. They toppled

    In terms of talent

Going into a season, I'd feel much better with Ryan at QB than Eli.

It's like how some fans got mad that people were picking Rodgers at 33 instead of Brady at 39 on who would you rather have when I was listening to the radio a month ago.

Of course you'd want to take the younger QB with more of an upswing. But if you want to go with each a strong team and who'd you trust in a bind? I think I'd pick Eli.
