    Cars 3 (2017)

The thread that nobody wanted for the movie that I'm probably the only person on here who has seen it. Lightning McQueen is slowly being pushed out of the racing world when newer cars are starting to outperform him. He frequently loses to a newer car Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer) forcing several other cars into retirement. During a major race Lightning gets in a major crash that takes him out of the game. He then decides to retrain with the help of a personal trainer by the name of Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) in order to beat Jackson at the Florida 500.

The entire Cars franchise has been mediocre and full of cliches, this one being no exception. However, I enjoyed this one way more than the other two. I'm not sure how this story was approved, it's not relatable for children in the slightest, retiring. I did appreciate the Randy Newman score. Yea, better than the other two Cars but still on the bottom of the Pixar ranking. Yea, obligatory Pixar thread.

I mean right now I think we can debate all day the ranking of the top 12 Pixar movies:

    Toy Story 1 - 3
    Wall-E
    Incredibles
    Monster's Inc
    Up
    Ratatouille
    Inside Out
    Finding Nemo
    Bug's Life
    Finding Dory

    Then their mid tier movies.

    The Good Dinosaur
    Brave
    Monster's University
    Cars

    Followed by their worst movie

    Cars 2

I'm assuming Cars 3 is the 2nd worst Pixar movie?

Honestly no, I thought it was better than the first Cars. Something like....

    Toy Story 3
Ratatouille (This is my personal favorite, but it can't be the best, I recognize that)
    Toy Story
    Up
    Inside Out
    The Incredibles
    A Bug's Life
    Monsters Inc.
    Toy Story 2
    Wall-E
    Finding Nemo
    Finding Dory

    Mid-tier
    Monsters University
    The Good Dinosaur
    Brave
    Cars 3
    Cars
    Cars 2

I feel like you could even make an argument to put it above Brave and The Good Dinosaur.

I wouldn't put Cars 2, mid tier. There's a definite divide between MU, GD, Brave, Cars and Cars 2. However, I'd put Cars at the low end of the mid tier movies. Even if Cars 3 is better than Cars, that still not saying a lot.

You're right, I meant to say mid-tier to crap. Cars 2 is trash. Yea, even that this one is better it's still not saying much.
