I get why they used Sabotage (call back to the 1st movie), but Intergalactic would have been much more fitting and still had the Beastie connection.

You could have a bright future in Star Trek defiling.

    haha

I'm surprised McCoy didn't say that after the record-skip music stop in the preview...which bridged the gap between Star Trek and the Paul Blart: Mall Cop Saga.

Looks like the Remans from Nemesis mixed with the Jem'Hadar from DS9

There are only so many "looks like a human but has face ridges and stuff" aliens you can do, Star Trek.

TOS with an insane budget, and the planet they come up with is grey and rocky. The card board set with the Gaurdian of Forever is more visually interesting.

I wonder when SJWs will complain about white washing Elba.

The first one had many problems, but it was entertaining enough that I could say "Ehh, at least with an alternate branching timeline, we could take these characters to new and different places literally and figuratively".

Then we got Space Seed and Wrath of Khan cliff notes for the sequel. Into Darkness was so shitty that it sucked all the ire I could have for the reboot series, just by Spock screaming "KHAN!!!".

Not even Simon Pegg cowriting this could get me to care. It takes a lot of effort to get me to not care about Star Trek. I liked Generations!
