    google docs is basically about as good as Word and then it eclipses it due to auto-save on the cloud. i think pretty much everyone suffered at least one computer prob while writing a 10+ pager in college...having every keystroke saved automatically and then being able to access it from another computer if yours fucks up has been super valuable to me

    is that free? anyway part of my google docs love is that my university switched onto gmail in like 2010 or whatever so everyone's .edu account was actually a google account with Drive space so it just made too much sense to use anything else. i would rather blow my brains out than have to log into a microsoft cloud site when i already use google so much

    the other thing to consider is that Office fucks up on macs more often. i think they're still just updating Office 2011. macs at my university have recently had some issues running in compatibility mode (opening older .doc files instead of .docx) so it can be kind of a headache
