    Spider-Man in Marvel,

    Another solo movie reboot,

Not that I want them to stick with the current series though. Couldn't care less about resolving the parents storyline.

I think most people will be OK with it since it's not JUST a reboot.

but it is weird when a giant franchise arc is just left dangling.
Sure, sometimes a standalone movie teases a sequel that never gets greenlit, but how many get two movies in without finishing the trilogy arc? hellboy (which wasn't such an overtly linked arc as the PP parents/Oscorp stuff)...what else?

I can't think of any. Was Hellboy supposed to be a trilogy? I'd love a third and obviously studios want more money, but it didn't feel like the franchise wanted to be a trilogy too badly.

I'm more interested in the shifting of the MCU timeline. He's going to appear in the MCU before his movie, and that only really leaves Civil War and Doctor Strange as possibilities since Age of Ultron and Ant-Man are way too soon. And if Infinity Wars is keeping the same dates, how will that affect Black Panther, Thor, Inhumans and even SHIELD timelines?
