1) everyone has already come to the conclusion that Goodell is a liar.
2) we live in a new media age where the lines between reporting and punditry are blurred. when a man who is a small part reporter and a large part opinion-based blogger gives an opinion on a show--an informal show clearly under his own moniker, not named ESPN-something (tho they technically own it)--it's pretty bullshit to be suspended for that, i feel.
honestly everyone should be killing Goodell right now, and it feels like he's getting killed...but not that many people who have jobs in sports media (at least with the major sports networks) are killing him.like who is? Olbermann? Olbermann goes on rants like that all the time where he gets his bluster going and calls for someone to be fired or calls them hypocrites and liars. i mean, he does it to Goodell here.

both Olbermann and Simmons are paid to talk like this so it's pretty shitty that Simmons gets punished. honestly you have to hope he only got suspended for challenging ESPN to suspend him and not bcuz the NFL has its dick in ESPN's mouth and so many more people pay attention to Simmons than Olbermann.
