    The Beatles

Fuck is the guy who wrote:

    And so this is Christmas
    And what have we done
    Another year over
And a new one just begun
    Ans so this is Christmas
    I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
    The old and the young
    A very merry Christmas
    And a happy New Year
    Let's hope it's a good one
    Without any fear

bitching about Paul McCartney's cheezy love songs?!

Gosh, I hope this year Christmas will be good, without any fear.
One good thing I can say about fear, it conveniently rhymes with "year".

Hey did you know they're on itunes now?

I didn't but then I saw one of the 5 billion ads, and now I know.
My brother and I always tried to make swords out of aluminum window sections. Then duel, my brother always calling for the power of Greyskull.

I hate that song... and the fact that you can hear Yoko Ono (singing like a tone-deaf old lady even when she wasn't particularly old) over the top of those children singing makes it even worse.

When I went to get lunch they were playing a cover of it on the Muzak.
I just stepped out and they were playing not only the same song, but the same cover, at the carousel.
I'd actually like it better if No More Lonely Nights was playing everywhere.

At least in the Muzak version you don't have to hear Yoko sing.

Yes, the hair on the back of my neck stood up, then I calmed down and realized it was a cover so I wouldn't have to hear Yoko.
Her part was done by a really mixed down robotic voice which brought new warmth to the song.

John had plenty of sappy songs.

    Woman I can hardly express,
My mixed emotion at my thoughtlessness,
After all I'm forever in your debt,
And woman I will try express,
    My inner feelings and thankfullness,
For showing me the meaning of succsess,
    oooh well, well,
    oooh well, well,

    Woman I know you understand
The little child inside the man,
Please remember my life is in your hands,
And woman hold me close to your heart,
However, distant don't keep us apart,
After all it is written in the stars,
    oooh well, well,
    oooh well, well,

    Woman please let me explain,
I never mean(t) to cause you sorrow or pain,
So let me tell you again and again and again,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
    I love you (yeah, yeah)...

They just weren't as catchy as Paul's, I guess.

In other news, I've had another weird Beatles listening mood, I'm really into Kansas City and Everyone's Trying to be my Baby on For Sale lately.
