    RUMOR (via Collider):

Matthew Vaughn stepped away from X-Men: First Class 2 because he's been offered Star Wars.

    eh, get the JC guy
    You know nothing about film.
    Spoiler:

Nintendo masks their lack of graphic quality with "quirky graphics and characters".
I can honestly say, if at 19, I was a pro baseball player, I would have exactly 100% fewer broken bats and thrown helmets.
I could have made a better TDKR
I feel sad for your inability to just enjoy an entertaining movie without you being critical over it's components.

    I'd be okay with Vaughn.

And Han Solo* is willing to return to play Han Solo.

*EDIT: Opps, but it's still correct I'm not changing it.

Isn't Collider known for being wrong on a shit ton of rumors?

I mean, they are going to offer Vaughn Star Wars before the script is even finished?

I wouldn't be THAT surprised if a director took it before the script is done.

It's one of those projects that some directors would be so excited to direct, they wouldn't care about the script. It's that kind of franchise.

    Possibly.

Although it's stupid on both ends, because why hire a director who might not be best suited to direct the type of material the script may cover?

This isn't going to be a courtroom drama, they know exactly what kind of material the script will cover.

Yeah pretty much. But it could be more action, or more drama, or more dahrker, or more fun and light hearted.

Of course it's going to be a Star Wars type script. But there's little things that can make it not right for certain directors.

The new Bonds for example. Of course it's still Bond. Still spy stuff, but do we really think that many, other than Martin Campbell, from the previous Bond franchise, could successfully direct the grittier/dahrker Bond?

You think John Glen or Guy Hamilton or Lee Tamahori could do the new Bonds successfully?

I don't in my humble opinion.

*Also, HILARIOUS auto edit on I-M-H-O
