that's how i feel. literally, anyone who doesn't enjoy these is a huge faggot. literally. not i believe they are a huge faggot. if someone doesn't watch 30 for 30, they either already are or transform into a faggot of great intensity.

Even I've seen some of these. one time i watched one about two college basketball teams rivals that I gave no fucks about, but it was amazing. I really need to see the Bad Boys one.

It was really really really good. Its amazing what they allowed in games back then without even being ejected.

it was also interesting reading adrian dantley's comments how the nba sorta made him do the doc. He still blames isiah for being traded for aguire.

Another good one is "going broke" detailing how athletes end up losing all the money they make. Fascinating how they break down how fast the money goes in a 10 million dollar a year contract.

the reggie miller one is gold but probably hits too close to home for equint haha.

do they show Prince's block that sent his ass into retirement?

Actually i think its one of the best ones and despite having to relive game 1 of the 95 playoffs or the 25 point quarter its really enjoyable and great to relive that rivalry.

I love reggie miller. Its sad the nba tries to tie old rivalries like knicks/bulls knicks/pacers when half these players were in diapers during the mid 90's

I finally got around to watching Bad Boys.

SOOO awesome. Man, it was great to watch that footage and see how dominant and physical they were.

Bill Laimbeer. :inlove:

"We'd check the newspapers before we hit the opponent's city. There would be quotes like, 'We're ready to fight them,' 'not backing down.' It was game over already, we were in their heads."

Yeah, that was a great one. The one on Hillsborough? Superbly made, but I don't have the heart to watch it again

Im watching Big Shot on Netflix, and it's about John Spano- a guy who became owner of the Islanders without having any actual money. This man has the biggest set of balls of all time.

I watched the boston college point shaving scandal on netflix. Henry hill, the doc is narrarated by ray liotta

and its a safe bet im the only one who saw "when the garden was eden" :(

The ending to that one felt kinda wrong. We see this whole show where these college kids get threatened by the mafia, then the end has the mafia reunion like "do ho ho those were the days!"

Now Im watching the 30 for 30 on Brian Bosworth and it's really fucking good. His John Elway taunt was genius- dude got everyone in Denver angry enough to buy anti-Boz t-shirts that his company made. I will never be that sly.

The Arnold one was really good. Tells the story of how he went AWOL from the Austrian army to compete in a bodybuilding competition.
That story is in his book as well, which I definitely recommend.

The 1989 World Series Earthquake one was eh. It felt like they started out making the docu with the belief that people died at Candlestick that day, then went "oh.. wait... everyone lived? All they did was postpone a game? Well shit."

The low point was Boomer going "wow if that stadium wasn't constructed to regulation, people could have died!"

equint77
01-29-2015, 07:12 PM
I watched it a few months ago. It seemed interesting at first and the only really memorable thing was the dude who was climbing up the light pole as the earthquake hit and it looked like he was going to fall.

What made it dull was a makority of the people interviewed were a bit boring :(

The boz was pretty good. Didnt realize he only had one year in the nfl due to a bad shoulder.

I went on a 30 for 30 tear this month.

No Mas, When The Garden Was Eden, Big Shot, Requiem for the Big East, and Elway to Marino.

Miracles of men. Wow, highly recommended. Might need to rewatch again.

story about the 1980 US hockey team win from the soviet players perspective. It really puts a different twist on how i look at that win now and i actually gained some sympathy for them, how they were treated during the first SU vs US/canadian allstars and how they had to stay in a penitentiary during the lake placid games.

That last half hour took a major turn from "WOW SO MUCH FUN" to "shit got real depressing".

Great one. Can't wait for the Duke Lacrosse one coming up next month.

the dude from esquire and from the radio show who are both from cleveland did no favors to gain sympathy towards the fans there. They all sound sorry and morose. Im probably never going to see a knicks championship haha but these people are just pathetic. Go raptors!!!

The daryl and doc ep was pretty good. I didnt realize doc was still a bir screwed up. I still remember the 86 mets and its funny how the ny papers are now publishing stories of how crazy that team was.

One of the best thing was watching stock market shark lenny dykstra on real sports years ago. Haha

hes cashing coins now.
